Challenge
As the leader in online movie ticket sales, Fandango has a lot on their plate. To bring a fresh perspective and innovation to their site, Fandango engaged with us to create a new site concept. We focused on simplifying ticket purchasing, providing mechanisms for discovering new and interesting movies, and personalizing Fandango for every user.
User Journeys
In order to think quickly and broadly, we started by identifying the highest priority user tasks for the new Fandango and then proposing features to meet those goals. Working at a low fidelity allowed us to separate the gems from the dirt before we had time to grow attached to anything.





























Site Concept and Prototype
Much of our vision for Fandango centered on making movies more prominent in the experience. We presented a workbook-like flow for finding and buying tickets without having to leave the navigation and a simplified, more focused visual language.
